It’s the freaking weekend, get ready for TEDxKL!

Looks like it’s going to be a buzzing weekend. Lined up this Saturday (July 14) is the fourth edition of TEDxKL and Nuffnang Blogopolis 2012.

TEDxKL has enjoyed phenomenal response this time round with a sell-out crowd of 800 participants and a reported 300 on waiting list. This is the very first time the event has sold out in two weeks.

TEDx is a spin-off of TED global, sharing the same DNA and mission to spread ideas worth sharing. TEDx events are locally organized events, independently run by the community for the community. Sponsors are brought in to support the event, but the even itself is non-profit.

There has been more than 3,200 TEDx events that have taken place in 800 cities across 126 countries worldwide.

“Interdependence” is the theme of this iteration of TEDxKL, curated by Daniel Cerventus Lim, a familiar figure in the local entrepreneur and social arena.

Among 12 speakers schedule to share interesting things to the audience include entrepreneur and TED fellow Derek Sivers, co-founder of Biosense Technologies and TED fellow Myshkin Ingawale, Professor of Physics and Expert in Nanotechnology Professor Dr. Ille Gebeshuber, Malaysian artistic director of Instant Cafe Theatre Jo Kukathas, just to name a few.

TEDx will be held this Saturday, July 14 from 12.30pm to 7.30pm at Temple of Fine Arts, 116 Jalan Berhala, Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur.
