AMD has officially launched the AMD Radeon R9 270X and AMD Radeon R9 280X graphics cards, alongside the entry- to mid-level R7 Series. The new AMD Radeon R9 Series is engineered for enthusiasts gamers who demand high-performance hardware and hyper-realistic visuals.

The AMD Radeon R9 Series is based on AMD’s award-winning Graphics Core Next (GCN) architecture, getting a boost from Mantle, the award-winning AMD technology that enables top game developers to harness GCN-powered cores in both PCs and consoles. Mantle unlocks revolutionary performance and image quality.

AMD Radeon R9 Series GPUs enable ultra-resolution gaming, supporting both UltraHD (4K) and AMD Eyefinity technology. The AMD Radeon R9 270X GPU is ideal for 1080p gaming, with highest quality settings.

AMD Radeon R9 280X GPU is suited for 2560×1440 resolution, and built to play highly demanding games like the upcoming “Battlefield 4”, thanks to its 3GB of memory. Check out Goldfries’ review of the Radeon R9 280X.
