Following the announcements at the recently concluded AMD GPU 14 Tech Day conference in Hawaii, AMD has officially launched the AMD Radeon R7 family of graphics cards – AMD Radeon R7 240, Radeon R7 250 and Radeon R7 260X, ushering a new era for gaming. The R7 Series graphics cards are targeted to everyday gamers looking to boost graphics performance of their gaming PCs.

The AMD Radeon R7 Series graphics cards are based on the award-winning AMD Graphics Core Next (GCN) architecture, and has full support of Mantle, a technology developed by AMD to enable game developers to harness the GCN-powered cores of both PCs and consoles for streamlined development process. GCN is the driving force behind AMD’s Unified Gaming Strategy where the brand partners with the world’s top game developers to establish a comprehensive portfolio of games that maximise their full potential on AMD Radeon hardware.

The AMD Radeon R7 240 and R7 250 come with AMD App Acceleration where users can accelerate app performance with powerful parallel computing capabilities of the GCN architecture. AMD Radeon R7 Series cards fully support DirectX 11.2.

The AMD Radeon R7 260X offers performance, efficiency and value for gaming enthusiasts and is the perfect mid-range graphics card. A signature feature of this new card is the new AMD TrueAudio technology which offers immersive audio experiences through stereo headsets and speakers.

AMD Radeon R7 240, Radeon R7 250 and Radeon R7 260X cards will be available starting today, 11 October 2013.
