Last week, HP released its new Z portfolio of professional workstation and display products, as well as the world’s first workstation-class Ultrabook – the HP ZBook 14. HP is also introduced the industry’s first line of workstations with Intel’s Thunderbolt I/O technology.

The impressive portfolio includes three new HP ZBook Mobile Workstations, five new HP Z Display and uprated and enhanced award-winning HP Z Desktop Workstations.

The Z family is targeted at engineering, CAD, architecture, design, animation, film, education, government and healthcare professionals.

Loh Wai Mun, Country Category Manager, Printing and Personal System Group, HP Malaysia, said during the media briefing, “Professional customers rely on trusted partners to provide technology solutions that are tested and certified for the mission-critical applications they run.”

Loh continued, “The HP Z subbrand has become a hallmark for professional products engineered to the highest standards – the expansion of the Z portfolio demonstrates HP’s commitment to the professional market that many other vendors have abandoned.”

Strangely missing was the Z1 AIO Workstation in the line-up, the sexy AIO that impressed us back in 2012. Loh went on record to say that the Z1 is still very much of the Z line-up although not showcased during the briefing.
