We’ve received a media invite to a HTC event themed “Change to Premium” where the Taiwanese maker will be revealing its first ever 5.9-inch premium phablet in Malaysia – HTC One Max. The device was made available in the US on November 16.

Following the success of the award-winning HTC One flagship, the HTC One Max continues the sleek, aluminium unibody design language. The phablet measures 164.5 x82.5 x 10.29mm and weighs 217g. The device packs a 5.9-inch Full HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor rated at 1.7Ghz, 2GB RAM, 4G LTE, NFC and 16/32GB storage options.

The HTC One Max will of course feature Android 4.2 with the new HTC Sense 5 and innovative HTC BlinkFeed.

HTC’s famed UltraPixel camera with BSI sensor, dedicated HTC ImageChip 2 with f/2.0 aperture and 28mm lens is not to be forgotten here, one of the HTC One’s strengths.

HTC has packed a large 3,300mAh battery to ensure long battery life.

We will certainly update on availability and retail price of the device next week. Hang on for live updates on Facebook and Twitter. We can’t wait!
