LG G Watch, powered by Android Wear to debut soon

LG G Watch

LG Electronics (“LG”) is working closely once again with Google on its LG G Watch smartwatch, which will be powered by the just-announced Android Wear platform. Android Wear, is Android built specifically for wearable.

LG is one of the lead partners, along with Motorola, to introduce the first Android Wear-powered watches in the second quarter of 2014.

The Korean electronics giant has been a close and trusted partner of Google, having worked on the Nexus 4, Nexus 5 and the LG G Pad 8.3 Google Play Edition.

The LG G Watch will present a low barrier to entry for developers and offer the best Google experience for users.

The Android Wear experience is centered around Google Now, as seen on Google Glass. Just say “OK Google” to bring the smartwatch to life and get things done.

Details of the LG G Watch will be revealed in the coming months.

We hope to catch the LG G Watch up close and personal at the LG Innovation Forum happening from 1-3 April 2014.
